has anyone fitted a sunvisor to a foden/daf 85 skycab if so was it an easy job mines never had one fitted from new so theres no pre- drilled blanked off holes
I put a high roof on a normal sleeper ,the visor was already on ,there was plates on the inside tapped to m8 ,they were bonded in position.you can buy a visor from sandbach ,commercial service for about £120 2nd hand.Dan.
where the plates there because it was factory fitted
Yes factory fitted, but it pretty much only fits in one place due to the contours ,strip the inside first ,then put the brackets on the visor ,mark the cab ,you might not be able to mark the holes but mark the bracket positions instead ,just watch there’s a few wires running behind When drilling .
There should be small dimples on the roof which is where you will drill
If you buy a visor ask for the fitting kit, failing that I have one I can copy and email to you if you would like. It has all the dimensions for where to drill and a handy illustrated step by step guide as we have put one on one of ours.
