No Gaz iam not a hi roof fan ,they get in the way too much ,but yes m8 roro flat hoping to carry 10/11 tonnes ,heaviest drill rig is 9 tonnes so should be fine .
well it’ll be something different mate as you don’t see many with a flat they all seem to have the skip bins on em mate, that’s not a bad weight considering that you got the crane on as well. will look good when you’ve done, so you carrying drill rigs with em, what all over country or local, you’ll be able to get a few of those generators on that you carry in to rapiscan, you seen that new building they just put up.
cheers

Cat 450 in an alpha wrecker build at the workshop next door. The next photo is the same truck, but the owner’s pic.
I’d like to know if anyone knows LX 03 FLB. Its exactly what I want and it is for sale, but I’m not quite ready to roll yet…I run a sawmill and make buildings in Devon and the timber haulage side of it is something I’m keen to get into. I am just going very steady, I want to run it as a separate company (just in case it goes wrong!) but that means a new Operators licence which is dull…all these things take time, but timber trucks are not that thick on the ground down this way. Here’s a pic stolen from the Commercial motor ad. Its in Wales and the owner/driver seems a sensible chap.
I hope that you know how it all goes back together Dan, no use phoning the factory for advice these days!
Pete.
The biggest probem Pete will be remembering what’s tight and what’s finger tight !

Just read the instructions Pete, even got a picture on the box of Uncle Doug in his younger days, complete with pipe, offering advice as only Doug could, make no mistake that crane will be on that Foden in no time at all, I did hear you can still buy a Meccano kit to convert the gearbox to a twin splutter too, I think that may well be Tuesday night’s job though. Is the other lad in the picture Uncle Mick, he appears to be reading the drawings & instructions Dan.
Oh dear Rob, I flogged off all my Meccano a few years ago but had I known that Dan might be in need of some pieces I could have saved it for him! I reckon that you have too much time on your hands to think of such things Robert, get yourself another project to occupy your brain box and maybe drag Malmic in as well to give his back a rest from playing old man’s marbles? A nice Reiver or Clydesdale done up in Dennis’s livery would look just the job on a road run.
Pete.
Got any paint on yet Dan?
Just done the first red lead ,only a week late !
hey dan,
its coming on mate, I think I’m going to have to do a model of this mate if that’s ok with you
cheers

Still in his colours in this pic! (If you go back through this post, you will see a few more of his fleet).
I may have a pic of S724 CNW somewhere. I will try dig some out and post them up.
Out of interest, when is your pic from? I’m assuming you no longer run S724?
