Hi all, been hhaving a bit of trouble with my reverse lights and am struggling to find the reverse light switch on the gearbox. Any body got any ideas please? ?
If we are talking about an Eaton Fuller ‘Roadranger’ 9 or 13 speed it is on top of the box. From above with 12 o’clock being the front of the vehicle, it is behind the bottom right hand corner of the selector turret ie at 5 o’clock. AFAIK the twin splitter one is in the same place.
I agree with you cav , a vulnerable position though , night men had a habit of kicking or treading on the switch . Our firm moved the catwalks to cover them properly . Dave
Is it an Alpha? I used to have trouble with mine (first sign was the reversing monitor switching itself on going over bumps). Location as Cav said, and we found grease and muck would find their way in and cause problems.
