Flynn transport, manchester

anybody got any photo`s of there transport and civil engineering operation. I understand they where based the mount rd area of levenshulme. also any stories about the people that worked there.

the yards still there on mount road , big player in there day 30 tankers on ici and a load of d8’s and box’s ive seen a 6 wheeler albion or Leyland on a video of early motorway construction , they had a sign on the heads of the valleys for many years after they tidied it all up

remember the old man martin and he had a couple of sons running it they did tanker work and
also day work muckaway some big jobs were undertaken lots of irish owner drivers on
hire to them in the 60s 70s think they had a yard on ashton old rd then mount rd
the old man Flynn was the old school take no bull

The only lad I knew from Flynns was called Bert Caulfield he came to work at Sadler Tankers in Oldham in the 80s.
