Flipje was created in 1935 to market the products in a better way. All kind of jams and juices
came from ‘De Betuwe’ situated just between the Northern and Southern part of Holland, divided
by some rivers (Rijn and Waal) hence clear differences between relevant population.
Flipje was born out of a raspberry and in the home-city of Tiel also a statue with this joly image
is placed. Regard this sort of mascottes in the long row of the Michelin-man (Mr Bibendum from
Clermont Ferrand), Holland- and Belgium-duck after Rubberduck’s Mack-promotion and other relics.
