I’m lookin’ to buy a flat screen TV for the cab, can anyone post a link to a reputable seller? Size isn’t important really, 15 inches would be fine but not too fussy. 24v pref but not essential.
Thanks in anticipation
Get yourself on eBay my man.
Loads o’ choice.
A useful bit of info is that a lot of the flat screen TVs have an external power brick. So you have a cable from the mains which plugs into a box, this changes the voltage and then a cable goes to the screen itself. The good news is many change from 240V AC to 12 V DC which means you can just take a 12V supply to the TV from a dropper. An OD who pulls for the same firm I do has one wired just like this, he just cut the box from cable and wired it into a dropper.
I have a 15in DVD combi working off a inverter, but its too bloody heavy to keep shifting from bunk to dashboard shelf everyday.
Roadstar combi is the way to go when I can afford it,
10in, 12/24vlt, flat screen,
They come on ebay every couple of weeks, slightly marked case (a scratch you cant see) about £140 from a company in Deeside, Queensferry…

In the top right hand corner of your posts is a button called ‘Quote’, click on it and it brings up a dialogue box with the previous posters comments in it for you to post to.
You can edit the prvious quote to filter out bits you dont want but if you do make sure that the start and end quote portions in brackets remain otherwise it will fail to work, try it you’ll see what I mean. Regards, Charles
Hi Charles,
Tried that, (how did i miss that button, a senior moment I think, to quote Terry Wogan)
I get the dialogue box but no previous post,
Will get legs slapped now for going off topic
Pete.

Mine works Ok Pete, if the original quote is quite long you sometimes have to scroll up to the top to get it, check the grey scroll bar on the rhs to see.
Just play a few times and you’ll get there and don’t worry about going off thread, happens all the time.
