Flashing strobe noise ANNOYING!

Has anyone experienced strobe noise coming through your radio or cb? I’ve got some cheap 4 led flashers in my front grill on a 2016 volvo fh4 and when the flashers are on I can hear it coming through the speakers and over my cb. Other than buying more expensive Strobe, Any ideas on how to stop it?

Yes…take them off :sunglasses:

Or turn radio off…

Tie a knot in one of the wirers its like a choke

My brother recently fitted an LED floodlight bar on the grill of his Transit. It was a relatively cheap one from Ebay and was causing interference on the radio when it was on, probably due to a poor quality driver.
Fitting ferrite rings on the cable to the bar somewhat reduced the interference, so that would be an easy thing to try.

Your attachment reminds me of my scouting days as a spotty faced teen. :open_mouth:  dib dib dib and all that.

Is that a joke or a serious comment? If it’s serious which one is the choke knot and how would that help??

I’ll give this a go. Are they them black things you sometimes get with tellys and audio equipment sometimes?

Put a capacitor across each lamp or across the feed to the lamps.
Old condenser off a points distributor will do.It absorbs the spike pulse as the lights flash that causes the interference.Must be an electrolytic as the pulse will be very low frequency.Just fasten the wire to one negative and short the body of the capacitor to positive.Just gives the pulse somewhere to go to instead of dumping through the vehicle wiring loom.
