Flashing lights at traffic lights

They have started installing LED cats eyes in the road now which stay lit all the time, helpful for the car drivers who drive around with no lights on when its dark

They tried that on the A435 between Matchboro and Studley when they resurfaced the road. They were all nicked within the month.

A mate of mine used to think cats eyes were activated by your vehicle and switched off
after you had gone.

He told me his cats eye theory about 25 years ago though,we were driving to leek at the
time so I told him to turn his lights off for a second.

You could almost hear the gears grinding in his head as he tried to compute this
startling revelation.

A bit like the “does the light in the fridge go out when you shut the door” conundrum

Those lights in the road like on the a4103 Hereford to Worcester are weird if you’ve not seen them before!!!

yep it does work at the end of my road but only early morning when I was leaving about 3-4am. flashed just short of lights so I didn’t have to stop, and you got a green. never worked on way home 5-6pm though so it’s true it does work. I never believed it till I got a lift in one morning with one of our drivers and he done it. worked every time for me after that.
