Flash in the pan

I am fed up with people overtaking me much faster and then wait for the friendly flash. I even get vans and caravans waiting for a flash!
Seriously, unless the conditions warrant it and you are slowly overtaking me, then no one is getting flashed.
Sometimes I am happy going along, reading a paper on my phone drinking coffee and people expect me to flick my indicators left and right and left and right to say thanks for something I already know.

I know how long my vehicle is, I don’t need it, leave me in piece.

this is obviously a wind up. but if it isn’t you’re in the wrong job.

I leave quite a gap before i pull in, but if you flash me then i assume your happy with the space so i move back over again. Indicator flashing is just being friendly in my opinion, its nice to be nice you know, i’ll even wave if you look over. I find 90% of drivers a decent people the other 10% are tossers.

I cut in a soon as I can in the rain. That way I get my back doors cleaned with your wipers :laughing:

I try to be as courteous and friendly as I can to fellow drivers (not that friendly before anyone gets any ideas!) I hate planks who let you pass then refuse to flash you in even though they can tell you are waiting for the “all-clear”. Not everyone has decades of experience, or some just prefer to play it safe. Costs nothing just to give a quick flash…

Agreed, it costs nothing to help either other, we’re all in the same job at the end of the day…

You should be ashamed of yourself, no self respecting lorry driver never ever flashes in caravans.

Personally, I flash anyone, caravans, motorhomes, trucks, vans even cars & push bikes if they look in their mirrors, in fact, I’ll ‘expose myself’ to anyone!!! :smiling_imp:

Some people abbreviate their words… That doesn’t have any effect on my mood :smiley::wink:

If your really struggling, as you come alongside beep your horn lower the passenger window down and ask the driver to flash you in ! ffs.
