Fixed penalty for speeding

Hi, looking for some advice. I was caught speeding by camera last July at 80mph on a 70mph dual carriageway in my own car. I have a PSV and HGV licence. I received a fixed penalty in the post and got £100 fine and 3 points. Licence was clean before then. Can someone tell me if DVLA informs the TC and if not, do I need to? Also, is the SP30 and fixed penalty fine an actual conviction, does it need to be declared on forms which asks for convictions to be declared? Any advice greatly appreciated.

I doubt if the TC will be informed and if they are then its so unlikely anything will happen to a driver with 6 points

No need to claim it on forms for criminal convictions - traffic conviction = yes
