I see no story here, the uprising was nipped at the bud. All the drivers got a message saying whoever chooses to stop for even one hour on Monday, will be canned immediately, so that was the end of that.

OK Milodon, ta for that.

One day, the crisis will be over.
Girteka may do well to remember that. When the crisis ends and companies are wanting lorry drivers Girteka along with Waberers et al may find that it’s lots of lorries sat there without anyone to drive them.

There is always a pool of people willing to work for these firms no matter the conditions, you don’t see it so much in the UK because of the UK being out of the Schengen Agreement but a lot of EE trucks are being driven by Ukrainians and people from other countries bordering the EU. Given the state of play in parts of the Ukraine sitting in a lorry away from that whatever the company’s conditions has to be better than being at home.
they will always have an abundance of bums on seats as working for peanuts is better for most out there than not working for nothing.

Nothing wrong with Girteka, kreiss ,Waberers.Due this COVID 19 production died,no so much load ,price go down.In Uk after this furlough time drivers as well will lost plenty wages. In next 6 month will be very quit.Due this will be much less waiting time, agency drivers will get shift cancel.Less hours ,less money take home.Company can t pay money for nothing.

Money is much better than in Ukraine and they take new passes, so it’s a good start.

No chance. If the Poles and Lithuanians aren’t interested then the Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis will be in there like a rat up a drainpipe.

i dont think it matters how low the wages get slaughtered, theres always going to be plenty of drivers for all the big companies as any job is better than no job when theres next to no welfare/dole dosh.

that is a lot of parked up plant.
you can see they have the same business plan as stobarts.
cut the rate to get the work whilst knowingly running at a loss, pay mega dividends to directors asap, then keep borrowing more money whilst restructuring rebuying and revamping the company, and getting bailed out year after year getting buried into more and more debt…its a winner for those in charge.
at the other end,the drivers are nothing more than high viz wearing kebab meat in the seat.

They’ve been there like that for the last couple of years now, every time I drive by it’s the same

This money after tax.And counted per calendar day.So 365 per week or about 1500 per month .It is not bad money in crisis time.Million of people get 0.000
Is there going to be a ’ Spot the Waberer Truck ’ Competion ?
I saw one in Nantes today.
Just a note for the interested - Waberer’s majority shareholder is CEE Holdings BV which in turn is owned by private equity Mid Europa Partners and they own 72 % of Waberers shares and are open to bids. Particuarly after the CEO quit in March and they posted a 22.2 million euro loss for the fourth quarter.

Lithuanians no longer work for Girteka, it’s Ukrainians and Belarusians that do.
Uzbeks and Azers are unlikely to do the job. Have a look at the world map and you will see why.
As it stands the flow of workers from Ukraine and Belarus will not dry up.
As someone said before for many men it is a safer bet compared with going to Donbass to die for nothing.
However when I spoke to one of the drivers from Mariumpol (not far from the conflict area) he said the money in road haulage ,before Covid struck, was slowly creeping up and it became less and less reasonable to work in Europe.
