It won’t be long before they are all like this. Views? Opinions?

No issues with it if its going through a village.

I certainly haven’t got a problem with it Then again I don’t teararse through towns and villages like a ■■■■■■ idiot.
However there are those that do, both in cars …and unfortunately trucks :unamused: , who bring about the need for these type of limits :bulb:

Anyone who has ever driven through Maybole will know that you are doing well if you can even reach 20mph.
Bit of a pointless exercise if you ask me.

Meanwhile deaths on the A9 are up almost a year after average speed cameras pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/ne … d-cameras/

In the first three months after the devices were switched on, 298 drivers were caught breaking the limit.

But the figure for the last three months soared to 1,466 – an increase of 385%.

Deaths have increased because more people appear to be speeding along that stretch. Care to explain how installing a yellow pole at the side of the road forces people to increased their speed beyond set limits ?

At best you can say that the cameras do nothing to slow people down and are just used as a cash cow to fine speeders. To be honest, I hope they make as much money as they can, if it means they don’t need to somehow find that money off more law abiding road users.

Agreed. They need to make the village centre a no stopping zone

most motorists dont understnd what average speed is, most think it like the old cameras do 50 past it and do 80 between them, also doesnt help that wobble box and rent a mayhem season where these drivers whom have never drove on the a9 go up or down oo n aa ing at the scenery dithering about at 35, slamming breaks on too get a nice pic of the summit sign at drummochter or slocd or the dreaded holiday coach at warp factor weaving in and out of the traffic.

If people speed they get a ticket - if you don’t want a ticket then don’t speed - simples!!

I made a conscious decision a few years ago to stick rigidly to the speed limits and not give a monkeys chuff about schedules, arrival times, or any other sort of hassles including pressure off others. I am more chilled out now, more focused, have minimal stress and surprisingly I actually enjoy driving again.
