Good afternoon fellow Tuckers I hope you’re all well… Well it’s been roughly 9-10 years since I last logged in here, and probably a similar sort of time since I’ve driven a HGV! The last time I drove a HGV was shunting for Jempsons down in Battle East Sussex, after moving out of London and now living down the coast. So I went back into construction (laying tarmac) And now I’ve come to a point where I would like to get back into the trucks again As laying the black stuff is slowly ruining my back! I would like to do tramping across Europe if anyone knows of any companies in East Sussex area at all? It’s good to see some of the old moderators names which I remember years ago like coffeeholic, and I still remember buying the book “coffee to go” and I still have it somewhere. I hope everyone is safe and well.

Doubt you’d find anything in East Sussex. Probably around Dover would be the best place to look.

If you are living along the coast in the Hastings area then maybe Alcaline at Lympne Industrial Estate. A fair distance but busy and also doing Europe. There is also Derek Linch at New Romney for UK and many hauliers around Ashford area. All closer than getting to Dover.

I don’t know whether they’ve started up again but Derek Linch Haulage went into administration in 2011.

OP- you are in Eastbourne? I think Ashford is a bit far to travel to daily, unless you do long distance work as you say you want to do.
Gypsum’s in Battle are still there, can you go back there?
