The first snow fell in Spain last week also, though only over 2000 metres in the Picos de Europa and in the south on the Sierra Nevada.

Thought i was looking at pics of the first snowfall in the northern most parts of Scotland, till i noticed where the member was located!

If it’s falling like this where you live, then it’s not long before it migrates down towards the UK,BBC Weather today forecasts wintery showers for the east,so winter is on the way!

Very true, we cant see the snow on the tops just yet from home, but it will only be a week or so and the mountains in the distance will look like they have been dusted with icing sugar. Very pretty I must say, but no fun to work in though.

we got some sleet in newcastle today and truck temp was reading 3c bit of a quick drop in temp through week

now snowing in south shields

been snowing on and off in aberdeenshire all day

now snowing in stanley co durham

Wife says it snowed for a while here, near Glasgow but had a day in my kip so not been out.

Its bloody freezing though and that heating is costing about £2.00 an hour now.

facebook reports say there is snow up north, over to the west, stirling and dunfermline. all round me but not here which is lucky as i have a big job being done on my car this weekend and not in a garage

it’s almost the same latitude as the northern tip of scotland, and to most people, winter comes unexpectedly every year

A bit in Bridlington and Driffield but not long enough to lay. Not sure what it was like on the Wolds though.

Had some snow in Selby, settled a bit but only just a slight covering.

Might have to sort some winter tyres tomorrow, but the price will have gone up I reckon
