Well after passing my cat C just over 3 weeks ago I have my first drive tomorrow!
Absolutly buzzing for it! Although I do have a slight nervousness!
Going from Uddingston to Arbroath and back! Nice wee run hopefully!

Nice one Tricky, just remember that you’re in a Lorry, strap the load (a lot quicker than picking it up [emoji57]) & take your time, keep it slow on the roundabouts & don’t brake harshly. [emoji106]

Thank you! Don’t worry I plan to take my time! I’ll be driving a DAF same as I passed my test in, Albeit it a bit older and slightly longer!
Picking up some nice smelly fish then think its just empty cages to return!
A few of the drivers In my work have warned me theres a couple of tight roundabouts in Dundee so I will be very cautious

Well done a 10 hour shift today! And I can only say it was a brilliant day! Took me 10 mins to get used to the truck! Didn’t make any mistakes all day (that I know of anyway) until the end of the day…left my digi card in the slot! Other than that it was a great day! 390km’s no faults

Don’t worry, we all do it at some stage, and some more then overs. Just need to get yourself into an end of day routine.
Park up
Handbrake on
eject card
start doing any paperwork
click the buttons on the tachom
ore paperwork
more button pressing
drop of PoDs and keys
pub!

I’m the worst when it comes to the morning routine, when I have to do my manual entry, if someone talks to me, I’ve missed that slot and need to do a printout at the end of the day. Think I’m the only driver in the UK that has to carry at least 16 printouts every month lol
