First night out

Hey all, as the title suggests, I have my first night out on Monday and possibly the rest of the week. Can anyone give me any advice and most importantly help me make sure I have the essentials ready. If any of you can create a list of essentials I can see if I have got them  thanks all

See you up the road!

There’s a very good detailed thread on what kit to take.

My advice is park in an MSA is possible on your first one so everything you need is in one place and get some ear plugs

Kit bag for shaving, tootbrush and so on.
Hand steriliser.
Toilet roll.
Muesili bars for breakfast.
Towel and soap/shampoo.
Moutwash/Deodorant.
Spare underwear/work clothes.
Maps/ Sat nav/phone charger.
Telephone numbers for breakdowns/tyre call out.
Bulbs/fuses and a basic tool box.
Duvet/sleeping bag and pillows.
Clip board to keep paperwork tidy/Biros.
Foam ear plugs for noisy laybys.
Fuel cards and list of fuel stops.
Snap account for parking.
Gas cooker to make hot drinks and cook meals.
Milk powder.Water bottles from Aldi/Lidl.
Bottle to pee in at night.
Cans of food from Lidl/Aldi.

a change of clothes washing kit.duvet sleeping bag pillow or 2.
take a float ( parking, toll cash ) phone charger. keep it simple till you know what your doing.

A few Costa or Starbucks coffees a day may cost £800 a year.
What i do,is have double of everything you need.
So you do not have to keep taking it in and out the car to the truck and back inside the house.
So two toothbrushes, one left at home, one left in the cab.
The same for bedding.Two sets.
A washing up bowl is handy for storing all the gubbins and what nots.
Easy to take out of the cab.
Something to keep you occupied while sat in the cab waiting to be tipped.
Books or puzzles.A large kit bag to transfer stuff from home to the cab.A sports bag.
The last 28 days of tacho records. If been on holiday or off work,at letter is required.

Basic medicine kit.
Headache pills.
Powder to stop the trots after a dodgy meal.
If eat in a lay by tea van, look to see if or where the cook can wash his/her hands after going to the loo,if there is a loo there.
If is a portaloo,it will have no water in the foot pump basin.
Ask yourself, they go to the loo,can not clean their hands, then prepare your food.
Avoid these filthy dumps like the plague.
Would you allow a dog to eat there.
Some layby traders think they own the layby and get the hump if not buying their finest catering offerings.
They leave signs saying do not park in my spot.

Red Bull. Pro plus. Coffee granules. Cocaine.
Because you’ll need it after your first night trying to sleep in a msa.

Every list must contain a swan
