Thank you Highways England and your random roadworks and road closures. If you kept your website up to date I could at least plan my journey. Cockwombles.
PS last infringement was due to an accident delaying me, but the one before that was because I’m crap at reversing.

Schedule wasn’t tight until after the first diversion. It was the second diversion and roadworks traffic jam that screwed me. I was tempted to park under the bridges on m25, but thought better of it.
Still blaming HE.
I really wouldn’t be getting too worried about one infringement in nine months.

Not worried, just annoyed. Closing a junction then immediately forcing motorway traffic into one lane, turning a five minute journey into a twenty minutes one, is just appalling traffic management imo. If it had happened at the start of my journey it wouldn’t have mattered, unfortunately it was right at the end.
I got two in a week a month or so ago. 4hrs 6 minutes, cos of rush hour traffic & I won’t take a 45 when I’m 10 mins from my overnight ■■■■■■■■■■■■. And 4hrs 15, because of an accident on the M1 northbound. I pulled into the next available services!
I’m not arsed about either…it’s not a regular thing, but when it happens, it happens…
I found their app recently and it updated itself as we travelled up to Muthill last week. An Apple app, that is…

Just don’t get any infringements ( intentionally) and you’ll be fine [emoji56]

I imagine most peoples infringements are unintentional and due to circumstances beyond their control.
To risk losing you job for only 5 in a year seems excessive, depending on the severity and the reason for them.
If there is a very valid reason for the infringement like being stuck on a closed road behind an accident for instance then they do not count but if your playing roulette with your times to such I fine margin then its. avoidable
( I do not say or pretend to be perfect myself )

How many of those “infringements” are actually “broken EU laws” though? To me there’s a world of difference between ‘driving over 10 hours’ and "not taking your first break on duty until 6hr 10m into your duty’. BOTH are infringements these days though. There’s no WTD op-out any more.

That long ?
I’m thinking I’d manage 2 days
There is no excuse, unless as stated above accidents or road closures. We are supposed to be professional drivers unless you carry body parts or blood NO load is urgent!!
I’m very chilled and always against the clock because of start/finish time of customers, however I get to them when I can. If I have to park up till the next day I do! Not bothered
out all week anyway.
Fridays have slightly different rules though

How did you get an infringement by driving for 4h 6min or 4h 15min? Or did you exceed your 4.5hrs driving by those amounts…?

I meant 4.30 + 6, and 4.30 + 15. Ooops.
