So i’ve been driving an 18t Volvo fe curtainsider for about 6 weeks now, really enjoying it, every day is different, just one thing missing though, I want to be driving an artic. I know its early days I’m a fresh driver, but I just dont feel like a proper trucker if that makes sense! I don’t know if I should apply for a few class 1 jobs or wait it out to get some experience in the hope I might get put on an artic eventually, We run about 12 artics.
Stay where you are,prove that you can do the job to your employers and make the right noises about wanting a go at Class 1.And hopefully when an opportunity arises you shall get your chance.
Nothing big about being an artic driver .
You’ll end up in the “I’m an artic driver I can’t possibly be asked to drive something that small” club 
Naw, go for it! There’s nothing holding you back but yourself. I didn’t do any time in cat C, although I have done a little since getting my C+E.
I prefer the artics, different ball game, and lots of fun!
