Hi all, I have got myself a driving assessment for co-op Andover on Friday driving class 1. Do anyone know if they are 4 over 4 or auto?
This is for weekend work until I leave the forces in a few months to gain civilian experience.
i have read the forum about what to expect.

Are you working mon to fri
If yes then that only leaves one day every other weekend to drive due to the weekly rest rules
I think if you have the military job Monday to Friday, you can’t drive a truck weekends as you have worked 8 days with no break, then on the 9th day back to the military duties.
If stopped on the road side in a multi agency
Checkpoint, where the DWP can do a check with your NI number, they know what work has been done, this work by law, needs to recorded on a manual entry on the lorry tachograph, when you jump in weekends.
DVSA enforcement could also check other work duties, failing to keep records is a serious offence, regarded as fraud, and can lead to a custodial sentence and heavy fines.
If you do the assessment, it may involve a health and safety briefing, advice on weight limits in the Andover area.
Pre trip safety checks on the vehicle, a test drive, food safety, food temperature for chilled and ambient.
A test on tachograph rules, manual handling guidelines for rolling cages, and tail lifts.
Protocol at customers premises.
