Don’t remember them being in Walsall but I do know they had a depot at Black Lake on the A41 nr. West Brom.

Kendrick’s seemed to spec most of their Fodens with single drive back ends and hub reduction on the third axle but I suppose they didn’t go off road much apart from loading at pits.

Pete.

Hi Peter, is this Stan constables old motor ?

Yes that was Stan’s motor, can you remember his garage in Riches Street Nigel?

I remember the garage well Pete. I knew Stan well for about the last ten years of his life . I spent quite a bit of time at Stans cottage. He allowed me to keep a couple of bulls in his paddock, and it was always interesting giving him a hand in workshop. He always kept the Albion well, and I think he was a little sad to see it go.

Hi Nigel,
I think Stan used to keep a few head himself as when I worked at Millers we used to deliver some course ration there, obviously because he was a mate there would always be an extra couple of bags!!
I don’t know if Russell Cooke still owns the Albion?

Has anyone got any pics of Nichols or Roadways trucks please?

Reposted off the Frans-maas thread, NOT my pics!

The Roadway 141 is ex-Bradys judging by the number
