Fireworks seem quiet this year

A lot of families must be feeling the pinch this year around here! Usually from late September until the 5th November, it sounds like a war zone, with the local idiots setting off military grade type fireworks around here til the early hours of the morning.

Not so this year, I’ve only heard the odd firework going off.

Think these days Halloween as took over from guy Fawkes bonfire night.
Plus health safety restrictions to selling fireworks and organised bonfires.
When I was younger lived in a flat and every year all the neighbours moved there cars and we all had a bonfire in carparking area n fireworks the whole block of about 12 flats. Mess was cleaned up day after. Won’t let you do that these days worse luck

Diwali creates a lot of pre November 5 fireworks activity nothing to do with November 5.

The annual Lewes celebration has always been as good as November 5 fireworks get.

Parked there once bonfire night. Went to pub for tea as I always did. Was quiet woman said yeah big parades and stuff because of bonfire night..
