Two people have been killed in a major explosion at an oil refinery, sources said.

A tanker is believed to have exploded at Chevron, Pembroke Dock in Wales.

Fire crews have been called from across the area to tackle the blaze

Just read 2 tankers collided and both drivers died.

RIP drivers. Condolences to the families.

OUCH!..

When I 1st heard this story, I thought it was 1 of those protests gone wrong.

RIP to the guys who just go to work to provide for their family.
Thoughts to the family who thought their husband/wife/mother/father would be home for tea.

Just spoke to my dad who lives down that way, and he has a mate who works at the Chevron refinery and who was on site tonight.

He was saying that 3 blokes were working on a sulphur tank when it exploded. No idea why yet. 2 were found dead, the other is ‘unaccounted for’. Which probably means the poor bugger vaporised.

So it seems 2 road tankers weren’t involved. Although my dad had heard that report too on the radio.

It seems there was a storage tank and one road tanker involved, I am guessing he was tipping Molten Sulphur while someone was working on the plant.

There are already fears that the price of fuel will rise as the stock market got news of the explosion
