The Seascale one seems to be at a road-over-rail bridge, so I’m guessing the vehicle has hit the parapet, leaving it in an unsafe condition.

The article says it was Whitriggs Bridge on Drigg Road, which I would assume is the one to the South East next to Whitriggs Farm.
