Finding job as new pass and recruitment process

Hey all,

I am a new pass class 2 driver. I am ready to look for a new job and coming from the corporate world I just find it very much different.

Obviously I have no experience yet but what other qualities I can put on my CV to compensate? I do have customer service experience, I am willing to learn, follow directions well, I passed with only 4 minors on a 14t rigid, I have great work ethic . So do i put stuff like this??

Also, i sent few emails directly to local companies near me and few agencies. Do I print out some CV and roll up to places? Who do I look for? Site manager? Transport manager?

Which websites are best? I use Indeed and Totaljobs at the moment.

Is it usually just a general talk then an assessment and thats it? Or just one interview?

Sorry for all these questions but i just really want to be strategic and optimise my work search. I have been out of a job since March and I am going crazy. I want to work. :upside_down_face:

Agency get back to you either by phone or by email. You may have to pre-register with them, then go through a registration online. After all that’s done you should get an assessment. This may be via the company the agency is hoping to place with or some ‘proper’ assessment company (these may be more niggling than a company trainer).

Indeed is the one I use. Don’t know about totaljobs. Probably birds of a feather.
