Finally!

Hi all,

Just wanted to give newer (and younger) drivers a bit of hope.

Tomorrow I have an induction for my new job, which is collecting eggs from farms driving class 2, I’ve had my class 2 for 18 months and my class 1 for 6 but ive struggled to find well paying regular work due to fact I’m only 25 and lack experience but after a lot of applications and phone calls I now have a job paying £11ph, overtime at time and a half and double time bank holidays.

So basically what I’m saying is keep knocking on doors and make the right impression and you WILL eventually find the job you’re looking for.

Wish me luck

Finally a positive post for newbies looking for work thanks!

I’m jus waiting to get my CPC MOD 4 then I’ll be looking too. I know its going to be hard but i’ll get there!

Good luck, Break an EGG…

Good luck mate,

Trust me it’s not easy but you will find something, I’ve done a few jobs now for different companies, some good but some awful with varying rates. But it’s all experience, so don’t get bogged down at the first hurdle

Well done, that’s not a bad rate !

Good for you. Don’t create too many omelettes [emoji1]

How do you like your eggs? Scrambled?!

Congrats buddy! There is hope for newbs. There was a similar thread made by someone from craven arms in shropshire…he stated there was no work. I passed my class 2 a week ago and was offered two jobs from the same county days after. Just keep applying yourselves.

Really glad to hear others are finding work too

I asked a girl once, how she liked her eggs in the morning.

She replied " Unfertilized thanks,now ■■■■ off. "

Eggcellant news…Well done…

Well I’m on the agency currently doing ambient delivery for NR Evans for Tesco. Earning £120 day rate.

19 year old with 1 month since class 2 pass.

Sad thing is I’m being took of it. Been booked 1.5 weeks in advance for 7.5t work for Nightfreight (I did one shift with them but I think I made an impression). BIG drop in pay

So yeah. There’s work out there for young people with long hair.
