Yes I do work for Down Hill Logistics altough it wasnāt called that when I first started driving for them 35yrs ago, it was then Midlands BRS

too be honest phil i didnāt want to do it either, my personal opinion is that its a complete waste of my time and money, but the only problem is it aināt going away how ever much we all want it too. now here comes the good bit if you donāt do it on the 11th of september 2014 you will no longer be insured to drive the truck you are driving, it will take your employer 30 seconds to find out so no job. if you are an owner driver your details will be logged at dvla so it will flag up on a pnc system straight away. so unfortunatley its a no win situation they have you either way.

as soon as you take part in the dcpc your details are logged on to the department of transport computer system along with your driving licence number, so if you get stopped after the 11th september 2014 your licence will no longer be valid to a goods vehicle for hire or reward, but not privately. if your licence is not valid then your insurance is in valid. insurance companies are already advising companies of these changes, now i didnāt do my cpc with one of the big companies, the guy that took our coarse doesnāt advertise the fact, he was awarded a M.B.E for services to the transport industry so i think he might know a lot more then i ever will. been training the guys on animal transport for years. so it wasnāt no wet behind the ears kid trying to tell me how to ā ā ā ā eggs
