Hey guys,
I’ve finally booked my Cat C training after about 4 years of consideration and extensive research lol.
I’ve been a race mechanic, garage mechanic, and a car salesman each job of which ive not enjoyed but thats another story haha. I start my training next tuesday with a saturday test.
I’m aware of how industry is at the moment but for a newbie coming into it I wont know any difference to ‘how it used to be’, just need a bit of heads up of companys that are likey to take on new drivers in the east midlands, I’m based in the east midlands.

well no one can say you`ve not done ya homework
When you have passed your best bet will prob be agency route as that how most get starts , but there are companies out there that will take on newly passed drivers you just have to wear out the shoe leather and go knocking on some doors , get the ol yellow pages out and look for all the big companies and go in ask other drivers that you see out on the road they may know of a vacancy not yet advertised , just dont be shy and have a thick skin as you will get a lot of knock backs, or not if your in right place at right time you never know
good luck n all that

I heard Arla take on newbs as well as Widdoson’s as well
Agency is a good call, I’ll try for some perm jobs as well and hopefulyl strike lucky!
Where abouts in the East Midlands are you based? Anywhere near Mansfield?
Recommendation highly would be Peter Smythe I did class 2 (C) there would have done class 1 (C+E) there too but unfortunately my ahem BROKER didn’t send me there for it even after requesting it. They are amazing I’m sure he will post in here also but these guys are very competitively priced if not less than most.
Give him a google and a shout! forgot to mention I did mods 2+4 there too! passed all first time, only had 2 minors on test as well.
