Never any soap,stink of pee,at a Building merchants there was a big sign showing how to wash hands and hygeine advice,but no soap or gel.
If you eat in lay by vans,ask your self if the food vendor wants the loo how does he/she wash the hands then serve you food,those tardis toilets in lay by`s,avoid like the plague.

Err I use my digicard, no old motors @ ours… 
One on the A303 east bound,in the unisex loo was old tampons,the cleaning rota on the door was signed that it was cleaned.

Broken taps which are full of black dirt and bugs,the bit on top of the tap like the cap of it indicating red for hot and blue for cold are always missing.
It was the same colour as chocolate where the blood had dried up,must have been there a while.

All MSA loos and garages loos stink of wee,like you said the smell is horrendous,nobody uses the loo brush,so you know they had sweet corn for last nights dinner.

I stopped at Watford Gap (now fully open) services two weeks ago for an overnight. I’ve stopped there for a 45 minute break before and knew it was a ■■■■ hole so I was expecting to pay a lower rate for an overnight. But no, it was £21 with no WiFi and less ambiance than your usual MSA.
Went in to the bogs before I left for a shower and someone had done a ■■■ in the shower. I kid you not. An actual ■■■■ in the shower cubicle. Maybe its a continental thing. Told the bloke on duty at wh smiths and he apologized, but no refund.
Avoid Watford Gap at all costs!

But no, it was £21 with no WiFi and less ambiance than your usual MSA.Went in to the bogs before I left for a shower and someone had done a ■■■ in the shower. I kid you not. An actual [zb] in the shower cubicle. Maybe its a continental thing. Told the bloke on duty at wh smiths and he apologized, but no refund.

Was on M1 and got stuck in traffic. Had 10 mins driving left when I pulled in. In retrospect I would rather have gone over my hours and risked a fine.
The MSA toilets in the UK are the worst I’ve seen in Europe. French ones tend to be not that much better.
Recently coming out of Swiss at Basel fairly late I was directed to park up for the night at the lower holding area before the customs. There were about 300 trucks there, mostly East European, and only two toilet blocks each with two bogs. I was dreading going for a zb but had to. They were spotless! Bliss!
Contrast that with a typical UK MSA, about 30 bogs, and great difficulty finding one with no actual crap on the seat. What is it about ■■■■■■■■ on the seat? Is that a UK thing? 
Seriously, I think they could consider employing some scary dragon ladies (or men) like they do in Germany and Holland and Belgium. I can’t think why else there is a big difference. I’d rather pay a few pence / cents and have somewhere clean to go.
Most of the MSA’a should be prosecuted under the trades description act, they should be MnoSA.

OK you’ve come up with a good reason, I’ll let it go this time, but next time don’t park there! as I cannot guarantee I will make it there before you, in time to crap in the showers like last time, to try and put you off

Think the more of us that do this the better, maybe they’ll then get the hint that we shouldnt have to put up with this lack of service.

I stopped for a pony at BP stansted one night, toilets were reasonably clean, but no soap and no loo rolls.
Counter staff weren’t interested when I mentioned this so, as the garage is also a “shop”, I took a pack of loo rolls and a pump of hand soap of the shelf and went back in to the toilet to do the deed.
Duty manager had a fit and said I had to pay for the stuff I’d taken off the shelf, you can imagine where I told him to go and what to do to himself when he got there!!
