Where do they come from? Filthy high viz coat beard and bobble hat.
Boots on the bunk and a talent for damage, smoking in the cab and strangers to soap and water.
Please go and get a job somewhere else.

Funny that, being agency does not describe me! yet own company drivers seem to account for damage when i pick unit and trailers up. Along with smoking, again seems to be own company drivers.
They can’t get a full time job with anyone. That’s why these particular specimens are on agency work.
Not this agency driver… but hey ho, thanks for the generalization…

Probably the same place that employed drivers who fit that description and do those things come from.
I wish drivers who are lucky enough to have a full time job and single use of a unit would buy decent biscuits when they go off on holiday, all I ever find when rumaging through the lockers are bloody rich tea.
Why blame the agency drivers, Tesco,s own drivers are also very good at causing damage. Not just at Avonmouth but also at Magor.

The same place that some employed drivers come from. I must be lucky cos I never have problems with agy drivers on my truck when i’m on hols. Its usually drivers that I work with that make the mess and cause damage!!!

speak for yourself.
i’m on agency and all these things your describing are exactly what i have to put up with from the “employed” drivers.
irony
[is that a Jap describing Irn Bru?]
company i did agency work for told me that all cabs were to be cleaned at end of shift…spot checks would be made…i says…im not clearing up after others…they say your cab should be spotless…i came back into the office 10 minutes later with a carrier bag of rubbish and chucked it on the desk…seems this truck was just vacated by the companys own driver?

Bit of a generalisation there .

Most don’t give a toss about the truck they drive so why should they bother ? I have seen good agency drivers who hope one day to get a job with the company they are sent to and bad who just don’t care.
Yet another reason agencies should just be closed and if everyone refused to work for such places they would soon vanish.

I’ve seen company drivers with many years service who’d fit into either category. And a good few of them who don’t give a toss about their truck either.
Good idea you’ve got there; let’s shut all the agencies down and everyone will have a proper job.Why didn’t we think of that before?
Oh, and a note to the Mods; why is it not acceptable for members of this forum to use perjorative language to describe persons whose traits include stealing diesel and anything else they can lay their hands on, but apparently it’s OK to use adjectives like “filthy” and “stinking” as a sweeping generalisation for all agency drivers?
Double standards here, bloody poor form.
