but talking of filmed trucks be interesting to find if the ‘destination doha’ trucks did ever survive
Yeah ! i remember BJ & the bear, didn’t he have a chimpanzee with him. I even remember the words to the title song,
" i’m rolling down to Dallas, my wheels are on my Palace ". Superb

One of the original Bj kenworths has been totally restored with a original trailer , by it’s owner Paul sagehorn .
anyone notice the theme tune from BJ & the Bear bears an uncanny resemblance to the theme tune from Max & Paddy

Uncanny! Wonder if Peter Kay deliberately pinched it, or intended it as an ‘homage’?!
I used to watch it as a kid too, and I didn’t realise just how much of the theme tune I could remember! I seem to vaguely recall building a model kit of that wagon too.
You can still get it out here,
Hi All
Watched a programme called American Trucker about the truck from BJ & The Bear guy had rebuilt it and got a trailer for it he also had the Kenworth from Movin On (Sony Pruitt ) and the drove them to the Kenworth factory. Also on the same programme they had a replica of the Snowmans truck and followed the run he did for the beer in Smokey and the Bandit he did it in 27 hrs (Snowman had 28hrs to do it )
