Fiddling your tacho

tachograph:

Marshall, of Stonefield Road, Blantyre, was detained for fiddling his tachograph, which tracks a lorry’s movements.
During the police investigation, his DNA was taken and proved a match for the “cold case”.

It seems strange to have your DNA taken for a tachograph offence, is this usual ?

Is that right !? I always thought that tachograph is a recording device not a tracking one…■■?

Wheel Nut:
…or watching England winning the World Cup…

I don’t think being asleep and dreaming ranks as a very solid alibi. :stuck_out_tongue:

The quote was from the article, I agree the journalist who wrote the article could have phrased it better but I believe they call it journalistic license

dont agree at all. im in the coffeholic agreement mode here

i was arrested in june from my office after my wonderfull x wife made a harrasment allegation.

at the police station i refused to give my fingerprints dna and photo. they said they would get as many officers to get them as it would take. i said bring it on as that will be assult also i had a stroke last year and i will certanly have another 1 if put under stress.

also told them to bring me a pillow and blankets as its going to be along night

4 hours later relised with no charge and no dna/fingerprints/photo etc
