Hi not been in Fiddlers, may be going on Monday to load Ash, what’s the script, when you get there, where to load etc etc, thanks in advance
I,ve only been the once and that was around February time so it may be different now with all this dry weather,
Turn in off main road then you bear round to the left and follow to the weighbridge, chap on weighbridge is really helpful and will explain everything if you,ve not been before, once off weighbridge you turn left and basically follow your nose to the ash stock area, keep your speed down as they,re really keen on it,
Now when i went as i say it was February and it was raining, but you won,t make it to the loading area, nobody does, the shovel driver will come across and you have to get out and put a very wide thick towing ■■■■■■■■ and i struggled to get it on the towing eye,it didn,t help that it was soaking in ash and water,he,ll drag you to the loading area and off again, jump back out, towing strap off, stow it back on his machine as he won,t leave the cab at any time then back to weighbridge,
With all this dry weather you probably won,t have any of that hassle and will be in and out with just ash dust to worry about,
Hope you get on alright.
Fiddlers Ferry power station is currently being de-commissioned as far as I was aware
It was uncoupled/disconnected from the electrical power grid in April and to my knowledge has not produced any electrical power since
What you’re going to be picking up there I can only guess is something to with clearing the site
It’s already being greedily eyed up by land developers mainly for housing, it is after all a riverside location with Cheshire views don’t cha’know
