FH16

ANYBODY BREAKING AN FH16 520 PLS LET US NO.ALSO LOOKING FOR FH16 REG NUMBER M848MRP

That’s interesting, I had my FH16 new in 1995, when I sold it in October 1998 to Loveridge down in Maidstone I removed the private registration which had been on it from new, I’m pretty sure the number they assigned was M848 MRP, if it is my old truck I still have many photos, some predelivery when it was at Dawson’s in Milton Keynes before it was painted and others from it’s working days on British Steel Distribution Colnbrook, this truck has a special place in my heart as it was my first new truck, they say you never forget your first :stuck_out_tongue:

It is indeed my old truck, an air kit has been retro fitted as I didn’t need it with the flat coiler I pulled with it, it still has the two spotty’s and extra marker lights I had fitted from new, not sure about the green colour it has been repainted in though :open_mouth: it was a lovely truck in its day, 520 horses pulling 38 tonnes made for effortless driving.

were is lily sum good info on here about the old 16.

I received a pm from lily over the Christmas break, he is the haulier that I sold it to in 1998, he is living in Canada now so the time difference may mean he hasn’t seen the replies yet.

She was still looking tidy in 2010…apart from the colour  Seems to have vanished now though.

Some more pics of M848MRP 2010. It was being sold by C & C Services,Ripon. I saw it a few months later for sale again on e bay.

Tax last expired July 2011 according to dvla

It was sold in 2011 by Pacific Truck Sales, Redhill Surrey supposedly in the UK. That was the last thing I could
find out about it. So I think it`s either been exported, scrapped or is sitting in a shed somewhere. Pacific
Trucks will not tell me where it went.

Paul, did you remove the twin Eminox and fit the air kit in your ownership ? the interior still looks mint in the photos, would you believe I still have the dark blue quilted mattress topper that came with the truck, I don’t think I have had a better quality more plush feeling interior finish on any truck I’ve ever driven or owned, the early pre XL globetrotter’s were finished to an amazing standard, I still have the original invoice somewhere it cost me a whopping £86000 :open_mouth: , it was featured in a Truck & Driver issue back in 1997 or 98 when the well known journo Bob Tuck spent a couple of days out in the truck with me.

No we didn`t remove the eminox when we sold it, it was the same as when you had it. It was cleaned and
polished every week. When we sold it, the bloke had a lot of problems with the exhaust breaking so he took
them off and fitted the air kit. You should post some pics on here of when it was new. He had it resprayed
at B P Rolls which I believe is where you had it sprayed originally.
