Few truck pics from my travels

Argentina;

Very common truck all over South America, top power is 320bhp and its common to see them pulling prob at least 50tonnes.See alot of 260bhp versions also pulling big weights. They have a big cab

Argentina Chile border. Thats the previous generation VW truck.

Queue for the border customs check

Diesel is only 45p a litre

Typical beautiful scenery

This is the typical layout of trailer axles, the front one is towards the centre of the trailers.

Fog didnt slow anyone down

Most common truck on the roads, its a 320bhp merc

Also loads of these, they are only 140bhp and look really old, doesnt stop them pulling big weights

Most common types of trailers, sheeting and roping

Nice FH Globetrotter

This is actually a ford cargo type truck, they still make these over here.

Roads around Buenos Aires are as good as europe

Very congested though

Big farmer protests, we were lucky to have just missed the worst of it

We did alot of travel on buses(80hrs in 2weeks), buses here are excellent

This is the 2nd best class on the buses, the top class have seats that turn into beds and you get free meals and as much drink as you want.

Bolivia & Peru

at least 80% of the trucks here are Volvo F12s

typical Bolivian bus, drivers are crazy

South Bolivia has no tarmaced roads, main road from the south to the capital

collapsed bridges are very common, detour takes you through the river bed

overturned F12

Locals were busy

This is actually a single carrageway road

Worlds most dangerous road, its now bypassed, we cycled down this

Oz
Hard to see but this is an oil tanker road train, these only run the centre routes, only thing i saw on the west coasts were 2 trailer rigs

posted this here before, its a 660bhp with an extended cab that is available direct from volvo. only one of these that I saw, and its used to toe v8 touring cars. also saw a stretched TGA at that race meeting.

This was on a sand island. the jeep is well stuck and you could smell its clutches from quite a distance. the truck tried its best and made it a bit further but also got stuck, he was making another run at it

top pics m8, would love to know a bit more about that 660 fh it was very smart

Smashing pics. That coach looks a little bit ginger beer though.
