hi caveman im thinking of moveing my family out to france is driveing jobs quite easy to get also do i have to sit a french driveing test i dont know whitch part of france yet probely the south misus likes the warm weather do u have any sugestions.
nobbies are buying mercs to keep renault on their toes, doesnt pay to keep all your eggs in 1 basket, and i should think they get a stupid deal with a few merc cars thrown in
roxy if you do a search on my username you will find posts on the subject.
if you have anymore questions after that drop me a pm
not a nice motor at all!!!
to say i hate it would be an understatement
nobbies not spec’ing stuff as about right, would make sense to me to put air deflectors on as they go on and on about fuel compsumption all the time. all you get is the basic motor, the twingos are the same apart from the trainers who get double bunks and a fridge.
would make more sense to buy the 440’s the 410 is so underpowered at 40t, always on the gears so uses more diesel, thus destroying the mpg

caveman:
no mate, i used to do france uk france running out of clermont ferrand.
say used to, have quit and am returning back to the uk!!
so ya have quit ? Y ? was that Michelins place there in Clermont ? Used to work there, not so long ago,for Michelin that is… for Edouard Michelin,…Most of Clermont is employed by Michelin there, had some good nights in the town now
■■■■’d off with it all really!
was gettin home late friday, startin early on monday so killed my realationship really.
didnt help had to drive over 130kms from home to get to work.
as for the work my french colegues were gettin the easy reloads and i was doing groupage all the time, 2 or 3 collections in the uk, between 3-6 in france on the way down then had to get them all off by friday evening ready for monday.
so all in all was getting the urine extracted imho
am sorry to hear that, hope ya relationship is still in tact and you can get sumthin decent to suit, so you heading back to the UK or staying in France ?
cheers mate!
am heading back to the uk, me and louie have decided to call it a day.
no point on going on when we just make each other unhappy, so i made the tough decision to leave and go home.
to be honest i would rather be a big fish in a little pond than a little fish in a big pond. at least over in the uk i can pick and choose what i do work wise, and have found a job close to where i will be living and will get me home every night.
will have to do the odd saturday as it is on the skips, but at least it will give me a lot more me time.
gonna change my life drastically, volunter with a few of the river groups, doing working parties ( gona buy a narrow boat to live on, moored on the great ouse in cambridgeshire) put a little somat back in to the local community and help conserve the countryside a little.
so there you go, already got long term plans sorted, starting wednesday next week when i get back.
will just have me and me little dog to worry about.

Sorry to hear that Chris, thought you were well suited at Norbert’s. Especially
after all the trouble you had getting a decent number in the first place.
Can’t imagine any circumstance which would persuade me to return now
though, but each to his own.
One small point about the 2 of you parked up in Provence. 2 trailers, same
number. How does that work then?
‘Right drive, pick up number 63, it’s loaded for Manchester, tip and ring in.’
Tuesday morning, Trafford Park, open the doors and wonder why the first
pallet has a sticker on saying - Bordeaux.
well i thought i would never go back, but as they say things change!!
the number on the top right of the trailer is the depot number.
most of the depots do that, ie 63 puy dome 62 pays du calais etc etc
when they allocate trailers it is all done on the reg number, for the uninitiated trailers in france have their own reg and logbook.
