Rob Pae’s Topline, didn’t last too long though!!!
Half height steel coiler in Holyhead yard, these were designed so that they could be shipped piggybacked on a flat when returning empty from Ireland, thus saving a forture on shipping.
Portacabin, on the A55 somewhere! We used to spot Ian, the snap happy director on the bridges in the morning, often pulling faces or waving to sabotage his efforts, how childish eh?

Rob ran an Orange topline R Series for a couple of years and then got this topline and a flat top R series as well, both in GSL colours.
Then i “Think” there was some sort of falling out between him and GSL and he pulled them out.
Last i heard they were on with Jenks but may not be now.
oh i see, i thought rob was a driver not a owner, i wondered if the mota went from the fleet.
Nah, he was an OD with 3 motors. But like all Subbies there was politics involved and it seems it went stale!!!
He parked up in Deeside trucks, where i park my motor, he had the three trucks on for Bulmans of Penrith, all seemed to be going well, until one monday morning, the three units were parked in the bottom yard, with the tax and O licence disks removed, all the trucks were then repossessed (i think), and i havent seen him since!!
