I used it about 4 years ago.
Free food. you eat when the crew do, spotless boat. As much tea and coffee as you can drink, there is a tv/dvd player on board. You might be the only driver on board.
Beer is available on board on an honesty box type payment.
You might be on it longer than 17 hours.
Used it bout 2 years ago but in the opposite direction the food was good but not a lot of choice didnt have to pay at all no bar though IIRC small boat
Nice cabins much bigger than the usual ones you get

When I used it there was no bar, just a fridge you help yourself and write your cabin number down and brass up later.
True about the cabins though.

I felt that, it was more like a state room. I can imagine from that cabin what it is like to be on a deep sea vessel in the merchant navy, much different to the shared accommodation of our sailing training schooner, 2 heads and 60 mixed crew.
Heads are Toilets
We used it from Zeebrugge with hazardous to tip Middlesborough.Tidy accomodation but very long crossing, often 20hours so we would miss deadline to tip(at HP storage). It was quicker to use Dart line ,in to Dartford then run up to North East.
Have missed the teeside ferry by 30mins so i,m now driving via the shuttle so its gonna be late, oh dear tip Friday midday instead of tomoro night.
A bit late now as the boat has sailed so to speak…
We used to use the boat regularly heading home not much in the way of entertainment but it was always clean and the crew were friendly I think they were philipinos but their cooking skills were a bit hap hazard if I was the only driver on board as was often the case I would eat with them as their own food often tasted better!!!
With the weather last night i am problely going the best route, even though it is 700 kms further . I,m leaving Colsterworth shorly and satnav says 12hours and 996 kms to go.
Come on then, tell us how you managed to miss the boat!
You would not believe it 44 ton, the truck had to wait 2 hrs at the loading address after he was loaded for a cmr .
Had a flying day today left Strasbourg at 0350 to Haverhill, arrived at 1815 tipped by 1835 09hrs 56 mins driving time. tight eh. 800 kms exact.
Parked at Haverhill havin a glass of wine with a takeaway, then leave hear at 0600 to load spalding at 0800 tomoro so i,ll be yam by 1400 with luck.
