The report mentioned that motorists saw her moving the phone from the cradle but if they were in cars, how could they see inside her cab, only a Lgv driver could see in that high.
Winseer:
In my mind, we should all use the hands-free company installed phones - or none at all whilst driving.
No phone - No talk on the road at all!
Company I work for has banned the use of all phones whilst the vehicle is moving, Bluetooth devices included!
If you are caught by plod for having a phone to your ear, its instant dismissal. No appeal, no nothing, - your up the road.
Don’t have a problem with that personally, its a good policy. We also get disciplinary action for getting caught breaking the speed limit. If you are double the limit or over, its also instant dismissal.

Similar rules where I work plus if we hit 6 points outside of work its time to look for a new job, all hgv (drivers are expected to have 0 points(different rules for company car drivers ). Not long after I started with them a hgv driver was sacked for speeding.
Has for her, I wouldn’t let her lose on a skateboard let alone any form of motorised transport.
We have a policy at my place which prohibits the use of mobiles whilst driving hands free or not this also extends to all operational areas, yard warehouse ETC you still get the odd member of club plant pot wandering into the office with his earpiece in.
If you kill or injure whilst driving and you’re using you’re phone hands free or not big trouble awaits.
Six points and £250 first offence £500 and 28 day ban for the second phoning when driving is as unacceptable as drink driving and some say it should carry an instant ban.
Looking at the size of her she’s been giving the Just Eat app a hammering
mac12:
It says how she was speeding 16 mph over the limit but now would be only 6 over, how many go 6 over?
The offence happened last year before the 50 mph on singles came out so at the time excessive speeding .

Same here, hands free or not the phone doesn’t get answered if I’m driving. TM has been told that I will only answer if parked.
In the car/truck/bike = phone off and in boot or bag.
No answer, no talk = no problem
Simples
Cheers
Paul
our “manager " now gets around our refusal to answer the phone whilst driving by constantly texting he expects them to be acknowledged instantly or we are " disrespecting” him just means we wait even longer to reply now

I, too, am in favour of a zero tolerance approach. As of yet though, I’m the only driver I know who never gets into the cab with their own mobile. If there’s no hands-free installed in the cab, then indeed I am going to be in communicado for the entire trip out.
The only place you can get dismissed for doing double the speed limit - is going to be those 20mph zones like around New Cross, London.
You can’t even do double a 30mph speed limit with a normal 56mph limiter eh?
Well, not unless you drive for wigglesbloodyworth anyways.

She’s the sort of looker that, if you’d had enough beer to want to, you wouldn’t be able to. Although I do have a friend that probably would. Back in our younger days if he went missing in a club, you’d just wander around looking for where you’d seen some rough looking women earlier on. We always found him, lol

id have thought it went along the lines of using your initiative…works for me though,so each to their own… you can show the phone…you can show the sim…you can see the call log…and the other sim is in the bin…or would that be too difficult to work out in advance?

What about the phone records at the data exchange end then?
You don’t think for a minute that all data pertaining as to time, date, content, & other end of calls made and received is ALL stored ONLY on that simcard do ya?
