Which way would you go from Felixstowe to Newton Abbot fully freighted.
By the M4 via Reading to Bristol to the M5 South.
Or M3 to A303 Honiton and lots of hills using up the fuel.A few bends and so on.?
Motorway.
Put the cruise control on and enjoy the ride. A303 is quicker but it does get a bit of a ball ache on the hilly bits. Also, there’s less chance of meeting a tractor on the M4/M5.
A303 for me every time. bit of something to see
m3 a303 every time, yes a few hills and bends to keep you awake but better than the holdups you could get on the motorway especially by the m4/m5 split roadworks, and you can have a break at the cartgate café on the way, mind you lock the doors though there be strangers about there.

Depending on what time of day you are leaving…A14 M6 M42 M5
A303.
At max weight i would do m4 m5.
I’d go 303 And stop at cartgate. The dodgy ones have been moved on so I hear and there’s fitness serving in the cafe on the late shift
