Steve I worked with Dave when RD’s took them over he was one of the drivers on the OCL contract at Barking.Liked his early starts IIRC as he was a keen golfer. He had the first FL7 that came home C667FMP.
i think i have a couple of old pics somewhere, will dig them out.
Yes Carna, they sure did. I remember one of the Eurostars re-liveried in Unitruc’s name at the time, why oh why did I not take any pictures?? Obviously Ruchard was not that keen on them either as he has no pictures from when he took them over!
WIll try to find some, plus a mate of mine made a cracking scale model of an old Felgate 111, will post that too soon, promise!
Would love to see more pics of Felgate’s if any one has any.
My late father use to work for Felgate’s at Barking before RD took over, he subsequently went on to work for RD’s and then went on to what was HTL then DFDS and is now DSV out of Harwich.
I remember on Felgate he used to do a lot of night trunking with boxes to Dover and then a lot of Merzario tilts, any pics are greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Alan
