"Fed up with Lorry drivers causing mayhem"

That’s a true comment you have dug out there jammy .It always puzzles me these people in cars that sit behind you in the middle lane  .
The overtaking ban on dual carriageways will most certainly come in .
I get peeved off with it . It will only get worse with these new regs on the 7.5 tonners and car drivers jumping into them .
A lot of the overtaking is pointless . If you have got a good pace on then go for it , but to sit up the side of someone with barely enough speed to overtake them is a waste of time . Don’t even bother with the time limits argument it isn’t going to wash with me
Bloody trucks bunching up on the M6 giving it limiter wars
I knock the cruise down a peg or two and slip back from it all . Much easier .

Sadly we are are own worst enemy, or a least those drivers who believe they rule the road and hang anybody who gets in thier way.
Who have the attitude that they must get past every other vehicle on the road even if it means sitting for hours in lane 2 with half the motoring population of the UK behind them, or who tailgate car drivers, family cars full of kids sometimes, with no thought of what happens if the car does a full emergency stop. Who bounce the truck up kerbs, instead of waiting for the road to clear a bit so they can take a better swing at it.

As for the idea of trucks only being on the road at night, well it’s been suggested before and answered with how many people are going to be needed to work night to load and unload the trucks ,No overtaking area’s are already in most countries in Europe and it will come here, of course we might have the last laugh when they find out on our over crowded roads that a lane moving at a steady 50mph will move better than a lane were the driver will do 80mph for a couple of miles until they get to the back of the next queue.

I don’t know but what good are we ever going to do if we only ever promote ourselves to ourselves…

Trouble is Lucy that in the trade press you are sort of preaching to the converted.

Great minds think alike eh?

Fair point…But you have to start from the bottom of any ladder. At least I’m taking the first rung.

i think we should only be allowed in the left hand lane, but oly if the ban cars from it too, be interesting to see them trying to get onto the motorway then

Just imagine if the trucks only at night rule did come into force, how long after that would it take the campaign to get them back onto days due to noise to appear? :stuck_out_tongue:

There are plenty of supermarkets for instance that cannot accept deliveries at night due to environmental restrictions.   They really haven’t thought this through have they?

Lucy:
Oi, you, some of us are doing just that - putting the driver’s point across in the national trade press on a monthly basis! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I noticed that

Careful Smiley, that could be construed as you being homophobic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmmmm. Sometimes, by our actions, I feel we are our own worst enemys :unamused:::wink:.
