I had to vote ‘other’ too…

I have to say “sorry” to Spardo, cos I didn’t mention France.
I always treated France a giant “T” junction, you drive so far down, then turn left for Italy, or right for Spain.

I’ll get me coat…

That was my original thoughts on Belgium Dave, well it only took 3 hours to get to Aachen from the Total :stuck_out_tongue:

Since then I have discovered France has a lot more to offer than just being a transit country and Belgium has nothing to offer at all.

Belgium nothing to offer? What about chips and mayonnaise?

The Netherlands because it was the first euro trip. second it must be Germany

Try looking through these for the various
places which you may find of intrest,

BELGIAN

OSTENDE

BRUGGE

ANTWERPEN

lets see , antique markets,
intresting historic places to visit,
stretches of coast line with great beaches
plus of course Great beer(S)
fine cooking, excellent chocolate
with all the added trimmings,
great and various types of cake,s
you can try takeing some of the
side roads when you have time
and you will be suprised at what
you will find.

Has to be the Netherlands. Nice place, nice people, nice food.

I agree, but their driving is pants city, I found anyway.

Love France but voted Spain weather has the edge

I’ve voted for France. I speak and understand enough of the langauge to get by without having to resort to being a Brit abroad and having to speak slowly  I like the attitude to work life balance and food and alcohol. Great scenery and good roads. But then all the other countries I’ve driven in have their redeeming features.

I love France!! But the most enjoyable trips have always been the ones to Greece.
I adore the French attitude to life and wifey and I have holidayed there twice a year for the last 5 years simply because of my experiences there.

I’ve eventually settled on Other :unamused: .

Not because my favorite choice wasn’t on the list, but because I like all of the options equally although all for different reasons.
(I haven’t been to the old Eastern Bloc, yet so can’t really comment).

had to vote NL not only because they all speak english and they great you with the first words “you want a coffee?”
but my dealing with the police have always been no gray area its either right or wrong (only twice thou)

2nd would be germany you cant get lost in germany you can get a street map of every city, town and village :exclamation:

It seems i made a hash of the poll not including the scandinavian countries and greece!
Im also quite surprised nobody voted for portugal? I had you down for that bear. Cmon own up… who voted for belgium?

Eastern Block, roügh and simple ,and its got places what aint even on the map

France! is mine!!! followed closely by Italy…Used to do La rochelle twice a week…And reload washing machines back to uk…On the Italy side Never had any problem there,
Down to somasi Milan with washing powder, and reload Parvia with pharmacuiticals…Mind you that was in the 80s an 90s…Have’nt been to France for 3/4 years And Italy for 10/12 years…So it’s no doubt changed a lot since then…

JB:

Do you think she may drive a DAF 105?

hint hint :stuck_out_tongue:

I would have voted for all of them apart from Belgium and Italy, and would have added Grease and Scandanavia, but have no clear favorite
