Having recently come of tramping onto a day job, I no longer have the benefit of carrying coffee making facilities around in the cab, and consequently struggle to get a decent cup of coffee on the road. What are other drivers favourite places to get a decent cup of coffee?
OK, I’ll bite…
I read somewhere that the coffee at Chester Services is so good that it’s worth a detour.
I wouldn’t bother asking on here Mule. Most are terrified of their own reflection, and wouldn’t dream of getting asked by the office why they have stopped.
Do they sell spines at the service areas?

Are you inviting us all in for coffee

They sell nearly everything else, so why not.
Have a browse in the tat shop (WHSmith) while leasurely drinking a coffee, you never know what you may find among the travel pillows etc
I am well aware of the ■■■■■■■■ you have fella’s.
It dribbles out every time you type… Carry on doing as you are told like good little boys PMSL.
If I can’t get to a roadchef (To use my 30p dodgy McDonalds loyalty cards) then I like Starbucks (Extra/Welcome Break) because I get all the extra’s (Shots, syrups etc.) for free.
Subway
For the reason being if you buy a sandwich and 1 of their travel cups and a hot drink, every time you go to subway and take said travel cup you get a coffee free.

Say whaaaaaaaaa?
Free you say?
Until I retired - five years ago - I always used to stop at BP stations where they advertised Wild Bean Coffee. Always had decent coffee, always hot, possibly the lowest cost on the road and a loyalty card scheme to boot, giving me a free one every now and then.
Steve
Thermos flask full of boiling water and make your own, a fraction of the cost and the coffee stop is anywhere you want it to be
Any and I mean ANY, Routier or Autohof here in Euroland

If I pull the fuse, my boss won’t notice a small detour…
On the A303 after Sparkford , there is the American style diner with a giant Elvis statue outside.
Their coffee is good, Lavazza .
Gloucester services do a nice Machiato .
Most fuel stations have self service Starbucks for a Picini or a Cortado at Costa .
