Fancy bits on the lorry

what has everybody done to their lorry, lights? half drawn frilly curtains :smiley:?
and whats your opinion on the whole thing?

I had a six foot long bamboo stick , with a mug attached to the end, and a clothes peg.
This was used to pay tolls abroad when in a RHD truck.
The toll booth attendant would put the change in the mug and the receipt in the clothes peg.

Mine has kelsa roof bars with spots, they were on it when I got it. It had the peekaboo curtains too, which I replaced with the originals as the view is bad enough without reducing it further.

Personally I wouldn’t add anything to a bosses motor unless it make the job easier for living in like a fridge, microwave ect.
Lights and stainless steel look good but not if am paying for it.

Nothing, my boss buys what is necessary for it. Thankfully he’s like me, doesn’t see the point buying tat.

Hang on a minute mate, have you or have you not just ‘came out’ as a self confessed ‘tank polisher’ on another thread… :unamused: people/glass houses etc :smiley:

I have the half drawn curtains (but not to portray the ‘Mysterious Trucker’ image) it’s to stop those nosey ■■■■ coppers in tractor units filming me having my Maccy D latte, or eating my sarnies on the move…OK I’ll admit it, they Have got tassels, but nobody’s perfect :blush:

TAT.
My boss never payed for it that’s for sure. And I certainly wasn’t. I was there to make money just as much as the vehicle\my boss was.
All these lights remind me of Blackpool. Just for driving up and down a motorway. Either that or they re scared of the dark.

Hey! Brilliant idea mate, any idea where I would get one?? :laughing:
My little girl used to look at my Dutch clacks and say ‘why do you drive in mammy,s shoes daddy’ :smiley: . I did catch sight of my reflection the other day trying to rush in them, and I admit there was an element of ‘mincing’ :blush: …so with them and my tassled curtains, if I got the sticker nobody would bat an eyelid…, job sorted, :sunglasses: Cheers mate :laughing:

Each to their own.

The proper maker/dealer approved accessories tend to compliment a motor, aftermarket tat often looks exactly what it is, i wouldn’t buy it and i’ve never had a boss who did, but if someone gets pleasure from such stuff then good luck to them, a motor thats kept clean and cared for is a sight easier on the eye than a battered neglected pile of crap with an equally ropey looking thing behind the wheel in perma hivis.

Just a question. When you’ve paid out your own pocket for all of this and then the boss changes the truck 2 years down the line, what do you do with it given much of it probably won’t fit the new truck.

It either gets transferrd onto new truck or sell em on ebay to fund the new ones
