Falcongate help please

ive got a very good bloke who make superb decals doing the livery for me but both me and him cant seem to tell what the phone number and telex numbers are on the few pictures i have.
i know its a very longshot but would anyone remember or have some doucuments with the numbers on■■?

many thanks

pete

hi pete

i have a picture of a falcongate 2800 but this doesn’t have the number on, so thats always an option mate to not have the number displayed, i know it will look the part with the number, i do have a few more pics somewhere, i’ll have a look now see if i can find em.

Just being critical. The 3300 came out in 1982, not 1979.

The radiator filler is square not round, the sun visor needs remodelling, and the hand holds in the lower grille were not there.

I am a bit pedantic about DAF’s

But it is looking great Pete :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks good Pete, glad to see that you got it finished. The decals look really good, who did them Chris Moxam?

It suits the 4x2 wheel base too mate. One thing though the ‘T’ reg is around the wrong way it should be at the end of the number plate, the letters come first then the numbers and then the ‘T’

How’s the trailer coming along?

Cheers Jamie

cheers guys,
the number plate is an old italeri ive blu tacked on to see how the lettering fits around the number plate, will be making up proper reg for it soon

the decals were made by ron johnson who made a first class job of them!

cheers for the pointers wheel nut, dont mind at all from people who know their stuff offering advice, the actual trauck is an A reg i believe had a look at the grille and your right it is square so will be altering that, may mistake for putting the number plate up mate sorry lol.

heres the truck

thanks for all the help on this people, heres the finished build

That is great Pete, very authentic, even down to the fit em where they will trailer tanks and boxes, and the twin wheels on the trailer make it right proper

Hi there Pete,
I used to drive for Falcongate and have a photo of a 2800 Daf which I took at Qatar the reg no I think was GSS741V I am trying to get the telephone no of the photo I also note that during that time 1982 we were using spread axle trailers model looks great!
