Fake job seeker scam

A young couple lost their old job and house, and had to get rid of their HP car,due to paying £100 to a con man, that set up a fake job on the Job centre website, you had to pay a deposit to cover the loss of the keys,he had set up a fake limo firm, stating you could earn £30,000 a year driving famous stars in a big Mercedes.
Apparently, the fake boss had taken money from 800 potential new employers, the young couple had a baby, and his old firm refused to take him back, then he was unable to find a job to pay the bills.
One man lost the sight in one eye,due to the stress,of being stung.
He would show you the car, then refuse any more calls, inquiring about the start date, and then skip town,to move on again.

back on the old waffle dust again then

Serves their dumb ■■■ right! Why would you pay £100 to get a job interview?

If this story is true then I sympathise with the person/people who lost money and jobs but have to say that if they weren’t mug enough to pay the £100 in the first place they wouldn’t have lost their jobs ec’t.

If you’re expected to pay a prospective employer up front for anything the job is probably a con :unamused:
