You propably haven’t noticed, but nowadays in your zbed up global free market, housekeeping is no longer full time job. We do have washing mashines, dishwashers, running water, gas, electricity, online shopping, cheap clothing from china etc etc etc. One can cook a decent meal from half-ingredients in less than 20 minutes (what I just did) becase there is no need to take bucket and go to the nearby stream for water, then chop some firewood and then go to the fields to dig for some turnip.
But all this does not come for free. Therefore when in old times one person was enough to feed family (because all this work was done by the woman), nowadays you need two salaries to pay for all this luxuries.
What you want is to still have all these luxuries, yet spend on living only half of the money.
You can’t have cookie and eat it. If you want your woman to sit at home, do it (as long as she’s happy with it) but stop blaming eastern europeans that you can’t afford new freezer or plazma TV from just one salary.

It’s got nothing to do with ‘women sitting at home’ considering that raising a family properly is actually still a full time job for a woman regardless of the modern convenience of dishwashers and washing machines etc.
I’d reverse your last paragraph by saying if you want women to work and face all of the same issues of earning a living and to be the home’s breadwinner in addition to trying to combine that with the role of being a mother (and as long as she’s happy with it) do it but don’t blame those girls who want a different life based on better values and ideas in which it should be the man’s job to earn a living while the wife stays at home to raise her family.
Also don’t blame anyone if they complain about the situation in which those with the former idea have driven wages and expectations down to the point where it takes two wage earners to earn a fair day’s pay to run one household where it should only need one,and don’t blame those girls who fall victims to that situation because the father of their kids can’t find employment in the oversupplied labour market let alone earn a decent living sufficient enough to keep a family even if he could find a job in an already saturated labour market that’s subject to even more saturation by immigrant workers.
The result of that situation can result in the example of a young father with no job prospects joining the army to try to earn a wage to keep his family and losing his life as a result leaving that family to carry on without him.While immigrant workers,often of around the same age,are allowed in to take the available work instead and complain about the girls like the mother of his kids might have been if he’d have chosen the option of running out on her in which case he’d still at least have been alive.
