But we know it wasn’t a mistake, just a ploy to pull you.
Maybe its time they got proper jobs… or … lets start a job swap scheme, a week at a time doing somebody else’s job and them doing ours… could be fun… I’m going to start a new thread with this idea. see ya over there.

So a police officer says sorry and yet some on here still think that it’s ok to call them pigs, sad…Nah, just me I think.
He was out of order, a) for not dipping his lights and b) for making the OP pull over. What did the OP do wrong to deserve to be treated in such a way?
You think he was right for not dipping his lights and then pulling the OP up to ‘apologise’ for his own inconsiderate driving behaviour? OK, then, free speech, even on here, sometimes.and your saying you nenver make a mistake with your driving?
so many perfect drivers on this forum. We all make a mistake when we drive, and we also make mistakes with our high beam now and then.
No we don’t, not with dips and mains. FFS, if you’re too daft to see you’ve got full beam on, there’s a light in front of you to tell you. I’m pretty relaxed a about coppers and wouldn’t like to be without them, but this one was well out of order.

NO No No, FFS, it’s not about making a mistake, I drive nights and loads of people ‘forget’ to dip their lights, it’s not a big deal as such, just a pain in the arse. What would be a big deal is that if everybody who ‘forgot’ to dip their lights turned around, drove at speed to catch me up, forced me to stop, just to say ‘sorry’.
The pig made a big deal out of this by chasing after the OP and forcing him to stop.
This is nothing more than abuse of power, simple as.
Oh well, At least there doing there job ( waiting for, why don’t they catch the burglars etc etc etc ) i would be more concerned if i heard that the police don’t do there job etc
Trukkertone,
as for, they need to get a proper job, what’s not proper about it?. Reason why i ask is that i have heard this a number of times and i can never get a straight reply.

Yes he was
How do you know that the next vehicle he stopped had a back load of fuel in the back of the car/van?
Think out of the box and you will catch my drift
I am bored now

so you are saying that he inspected the back of the ops car and this was the reason that he dazzled him with his lights originaly, mmm strange that op didnt mention this search
A few years ago I was driving along a narrow lane at about 25mph. I noticed a plod Land Rover behind me. He eventually flashed his lights and I stopped. After the “good evening sir” bit he then informed me that the reason he had stopped me was “because I was driving slowly” followed by a hasty “but there’s nothing wrong with that”. So why did he stop me?

Because he could, another case of abuse of power.

you know where i am coming from don’t ya
I can add weight to the statement that there are a few good uns out there. Got pulled a couple of months back on the M40 for having no brake lights. I told him I was returning from belgium, but had gone off route to get them fixed at the yard. pointed out that they had eaten fuses, and all I had left was a thirty. I stuck that in on his wish, and remarkably they didnt blow! He let me on my way - no ticket - which if you bear in mind the speed I was travelling down the hill around J5 Northbound, he could have done some serious damage to me.
I doubt anyone is suggesting that there are no good police, it’s a shame they’re in such a small minority though.

Because he was thinking of the children.
Ken.
come on, yes the police had his main beam on, but can we all honestly say that we have not done something similar in the past? its a simple mistake thats all, yes he turned round and pulled you over as ive said earlier it may have been for other reasons but he,s doing his job at the end of the day…
i dont know the road but someone mentioned the local sheep, maybe the police were checking the area for livestock thefts?? as its quickly becoming an increasing problem…

And this isn’t a lie. There has been sheep’s heads etc found on the side of the road in Peterborough!

Could’ve caused a fire, there’s a reason for fuse ratings and a reason fuses blow
