Fair play , nice copper

Recy_Mech:
The mr morland bit a ploy to check if wagon was nicked a thief would be shocked and had to lie.

Think he was in his own car going Home.
At the end of the day this Pig had no grounds to pull the OP over, the pig was in the wrong by no dipping his lights, then to add insult to injury, he pulled him over to inconvenience him more, ■■■■■

shouldnt plod he have been concentrating on his driving instead of looking for something ?

One question…whats with the pot noodle thing?

He stole the idea from elsewhere!

You don’t need grounds to pull a vehicle over. It has wheels and is on the road and it can be pulled for anything

dle1uk:
a police friend of mine used to use a similar thing, just to see if he could smell booze on your breath when you spoke…

This is likely to be the real reason for you being stopped :unamused:

I got stopped myself yesterday by a copper who reckoned I’d gone over traffic lights on red, when I pointed out that the lights were on amber when I crossed over the junction he came out with some crap about not racing to cross the line before the lights turn red :unamused:

As if I would :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes it’s called harassment :imp:

Whats nice about a chrome bracelet distributer blinding you then wasting some of your time to check if your are drunk but covering it up by saying sorry
Nice would be if he went to Specsavers and got some glasses, that would prevent him from needing to blind people to find something or other.

I’d have reported the ■■■■

Funnily enough i had a similar thing the other week driving to work about 4am, car coming the other way with Main beam and foglights on, gave them main beam in return, couple of mins later same car comes flying up behind me and sits on my rear bumper.

Obviously it was plod in an unmarked BMW, after a short while got pulled over, asking the usual, where I was going etc, i did ask him why he didnt dip the lights, didnt apologise but made up some excuse about wanting to catch my numberplate (supicious car, early doors etc) Sent me on my way soon after

To add insult to injury five mins later i get to a roundabout, this time a marked police car delibrately circles it and pulls me over for the same excuse

Yes you do. Hence all the crap they come up with when you are pulled. Thought you were weaving, tyres under inflated, seatbelt not worn etc. They have to have a suspicion of some wrongdoing. Course they’ll make it up but there you go!

Quite agree, random stopping is illegal in this country so this would give you grounds to complain.

They do that anyway.
Some are more ‘bent’ then the perps they are after.

I’m surprised he didn’t do you for sounding your horn before 07.00 and after 23.30.

Ken.

This rule only applies in built-up areas , and with a reduced speed limit.
I know the Orton to Appleby road well , and the only inhabitants are the wandering sheep , which are used to motorists sounding their horns !
Were the police looking for some half-awake ewes ? ? Just a thought …!
Cheers , cattle wagon man.

Bet he wouldn’t have been so nice if you weren’t taxed/insured.

Why would he be?

So a police officer says sorry and yet some on here still think that it’s ok to call them pigs, sad…

Nah, just me I think.
He was out of order, a) for not dipping his lights and b) for making the OP pull over. What did the OP do wrong to deserve to be treated in such a way?
You think he was right for not dipping his lights and then pulling the OP up to ‘apologise’ for his own inconsiderate driving behaviour? OK, then, free speech, even on here, sometimes.

and your saying you nenver make a mistake with your driving?

so many perfect drivers on this forum. We all make a mistake when we drive, and we also make mistakes with our high beam now and then.
