Don’t get me wrong, I’m not slating the driver off, I just felt personally that given the lanes on that particular stretch of road are pretty narrow he could have made more of an effort to pull in further as it certainly looked like there was more there to utilise.

There is, but the raised kerb for wheelchairs is in the middle…

But my worry now is that I could possibly done for failing to stop directly at the scene.
If you’d stopped immediately and then caused an accident due to stopping in an unsafe place, then you’d have something to worry about. As said you did exactly what you should have done and if there was damage then the bus driver would be in trouble for not stopping.
